Finding Your Spiritual Guide

Welcome. Thank you for being here, and thank you for being. I’m Ram, and in this first session of our Introduction to Buddhist Meditation series, we explore the heart-opening practice of connecting with a spiritual guide: a source of wisdom, compassion, and inspiration on the path.

Settling into Presence

We begin by arriving gently in posture. Upright, relaxed, dignified. Let the breath soften the body and steady the mind.

Visualising the Spiritual Guide

  • Imagine a being of wisdom and compassion before you
  • Feel their presence as warm, steady, and deeply accepting
  • Let their qualities inspire your own inner goodness
  • Rest in the sense of being guided, supported, and seen

Resting in Connection

Allow the mind to settle into this relationship, simply felt as a direction of trust and inspiration.
